The screened porch on the lower level and the deck and terrace on the main level provide access to the outdoors on summer evenings. The wood floors and kitchen cabinets are local cherry wood.

The client served on a destroyer during WW2. We used subtle nautical details throughout the house: the bolted structural system, cable railing, prow-like front deck, Galvalume roof, brass hardware, running lights, and free-standing, ship-like storage units with hatches.
